I enjoyed reading this… As a senior myself, I have held in the past, what I called, monthly ‘Circles of Love’ for women to share their stories. Thank you for this reminder.
What a beautiful story! Our elders are a gift in their wisdom, in their presence and in their vulnerability. Any time I slow down enough to go at their pace, I see things from a much truer perspective.
What a beautiful story! You and that woman both blessed each other and all to the glory of God. Thank you for sharing it and for encouraging us to find ways to share our lives with others. God writes the best stories!
Elizabeth, this was absolutely spot on - for one, the Spirit has been urging me to slow down as well. I love how you said, “And as this chain of sharing and listening to stories begins, it may just be like giving and getting hugs from the Holy Spirit.”
And two, I’ve been talking with a friend about having something called Story Bar where we gather to share and listen to God stories by pulling names out of a hat! I love your ideas too! Thank you so much 💛

I love that idea, Linda, and the name!
I appreciate the thanks, and the name, but you’ve got the wrong Linda…oops! ☺️
Oh, whoops! Thanks for letting me know!
lol
Spirit has been saying the same thing to me! This feels like a collective calling!
Maybe a sign of the times?
Yes, it does feel like that!

So well said, Krista. I completely agree. How I need to slow down to listen!
I love this and I think this would be such a neat thing to do for my church.
You should definitely try it! It really helps to strengthen community when we know one another’s stories!

He does indeed! I had honestly forgotten that story until I revisited this post. So we also need to be intentional about remembering our stories!
Love this 🥰
