Good reminders. For us, the challenge is that things like exercise require an elusive combination of time, energy, and motivation. We’re slowly building healthier routines; but finding balance when you’re in caregiver mode 24/7 feels, well, impossible. Thanks for the reminder.

Great point, Josh. And I absolutely agree - balance is not possible for caregivers. Yet all the more reason for caregivers to keep trying to care for themselves.

Elizabeth, I can relate to what you wrote here. My son is on the autism spectrum and I have to be at the top of my game to keep up with him! 😄 I'm slowly learning to care for myself so I can better care for my family.

Yes, so true, Kate. Which in many ways is the reason I wrote this as a plea, because we want to be able to take a break at times and get much-needed rest.
